We are located in Tavares, Florida in Lake County. Refer to the map to your right, and notice its  numerous bodies of water. Those waters are filled with many varieties of wildlife and  fish. Speaking of fishing, if you have a boat you can check out some great fishing spots in any direction right from our dock. 

Riverest is not a stuffy and unfriendly “gated” community. However, for safety, it is a  limited access community, naturally secured with water on two sides and security  fencing on the other  two sides. We have two entrances and one exit. The local town of  Tavares has full fire, ambulance, and police 24 hours a day. Additionally, as a  bonus, the Lake County   Government Complex, including the Sheriff’s office, sits near  the eastern side of the  property.

We have only a few rules at Riverest. Primarily, you must be at least 55 years old or disabled to live in our community. We also run criminal background & credit checks on all residents. All other restrictions and guidelines are found under the Rules. Various units are available for rental or sale at any one time. Please contact the park office for availabilities or click on Property Available.

Ladders and yard care items are also available to be checked out by residents. There is even an air compressor for your car or trailer tires. Power washing, cleaning, and property maintenance and management services are also available as contract services.  Riverest has a wonderful assortment of programs for residents to enjoy such as the always popular shuffleboard, bingo, coffee time, vespers, potlucks, picnics, classes, holiday parties and more.

 

Discover Our Waterways

Lake County is home to the largest collection of waterway trails for canoeists and kayakers in all Florida! Geo-positioned markers guide trail users through the waterways. The trails are designated to include an abundance of scenery and wildlife, as well as easy canoe and kayak access.

Other Area Attractions

Ideally situated near Mt. Dora, Tavares, Leesburg, Eustis and Howey-in-the Hills, Riverest boasts about every Florida activity and necessity imaginable nearby. These include food, championship golf, tennis, shopping, fishing, boat rentals, tours, car dealerships, etc. We have many top doctors and medical clinics just minutes away in any direction. Our wonderful area hospital, Florida Hospital-Waterman is only 5 minutes away.

Shopping and food includes Lake Square Mall about 6 minutes away. Additionally, Home Depot, Lowe’s and an assortment of name-brand shops and restaurants are all about 6 - 10 minutes away. We are about 35 - 40 minutes from Orlando, 40 - 45 minutes from SeaWorld, Disney World, and Universal Studios. The coast, either east or west of Florida is only 90 minutes from Riverest. The Tampa area is about 2 hours drive.
